The QRCA Annual Conference is an intimate and exciting way to make long-lasting relationships that exponentially expand your business, with just under 300 qualitative research consultants (QRCs) typically attending each year. One QRC can represent as many as 25 multi-national companies in their client base. The focus of our exhibits this year will therefore center on educating and connecting QRCs with ways to make their lives easier using your tools specifically – from how we will organize the exhibit hall to how we hope to encourage you to showcase your business.

QRCA Annual Conference Hotel Room Scam Alert

It has been brought to QRCA’s attention that a third-party housing company, Exhibitors Housing Services, has made contact with some QRCA sponsors and exhibitors trying to get them to book their 2014 QRCA Conference hotel rooms through their service and at what they claim to be a “better rate.”

PLEASE NOTE: Exhibitors Housing Services is not affiliated in any way with QRCA or the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, LA.

QRCA has room blocks reserved for QRCA Conference participants, all hotel information can be found at the QRCA website www.qrca.org. All participants are encouraged to book directly through the Hilton New Orleans Riverside within the established QRCA blocks at that time.

Third-party companies, such as Exhibitors Housing Services, sometimes promise rooms in hotels where they do not actually have rooms or blocks set up. We have confirmed with the Hilton New Orleans Riverside that this is a scam and there is the potential to be left without a room and to lose money paid in advance if you book through them.

New this year:

NEW MARKETPLACE ORGANIZATION: In an effort to encourage demonstrations and a better understanding of how our members can use your business best, we have created four categories of business for our exhibits that will be listed in the program and the mobile app:

  • Business Tools: products, services and online tools that help our qualitative research business owners run their businesses more efficiently from project management to accounting to all-other behind the scenes tools needed to be efficient
  • Research Project Tools: products, services and online/mobile tools that make moderating research projects easier and better from recruitment from recruiting to facility to online/mobile tools to collage/projective exercise templates, etc.
  • Client Management Tools: products, services and other tools that make finding, managing and expanding clients easier, as well as other growth-oriented business tools for our qualitative research consultant membership with both small and big businesses to run
  • Outside-the-Box/New Tools: products, services and other tools the are so new they defy categorization and open up doors for our qualitative research consultants they never even thought about

NEW DEMO CONNECTIONS: Another NEW and exciting opportunity for Sponsors and Exhibitors looking to expand their impact at the QRCA Convention are the:  4 “DEMO CONNECTION” OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE to Sponsors and Exhibitors.

  • Set inside 30-minute time slots on Wednesday morning before traditional exhibiting hours and non-programmed convention scheduling, QRCA 2014 will host 4 slots for pre-selected vendors to demo their latest offerings for the interested and engaged QRCA members attending
  • The QRCA Sponsorship Committee will be looking for 4 different Sponsors or Exhibitors who are offering new products or services that help QRC professionals improve or enhance their offerings from each of these categories listed above
  • These educational demonstrations will be selected by the QRCA committee on the following criteria from Sponsors and Exhibitors who submit their applications by May 9, 2014:
    • Is this service or product a tool that will improve the efficiency of a qualitative research professional?
    • Will this be new and different for most QRCA members?
    • Will the presentation focus on how to make the QRC a better value to her/his client (research end user)?
    • Would the service or product best benefit from a live demonstration?
  • Selected Sponsors and Exhibitors can be a Platinum Sponsor, Gold Sponsor or Exhibitor, but must apply by answering the above-listed questions in a form provided to those who opt to apply for a Demo Connections spot in the registration form
  • Demo Connections Sponsors and Exhibitors will be chosen by the QRCA Committee
  • There will be an additional fee for this opportunity of $500 for 30-minutes of demonstration time and the opportunity to influence and connect the complete QRCA Convention attending membership

Exhibit Space:

Exhibit booths will be located inside the Marketplace (see diagram). Booths will be 8 by 10 feet and will include: 8-foot high background drape, 3-foot high side drape, one draped 6-foot table and two chairs, and a 44-by-7-inch, one-line sign.

Again this year – exhibit booths come with ONE full registration and the opportunity to purchase a second (for $895). Anyone attending the conference MUST register. Exhibitors who sign up after September 26, 2014 will be charged $1,045.

We will send you a form to submit complimentary representative names, purchase additional representatives (if needed), and submit representative names for registrations purchased while completing the booth/sponsorship application form. Exhibitor pre-registration will end on September 30, 2014.
