PLEASE BRING WITH YOU A SAMPLE OF A “BEST” REPORT OR ONE THAT YOU THINK COULD BE IMPROVED. We will not be recording this event to protect client confidentiality and we will not be focusing on audio/video reports.

Bios: Carolyn Marconi will focus on “Content”

How to develop reports that are actionable and best synthesize the findings

Carolyn will offer guidelines from her perspective as a qualitative research consultant and from her 20 years on the client side.

Catapult Marketing Group, LLC is a qualitative marketing research and consulting firm based in Philadelphia. Catapult offers a full range of qualitative services: focus groups, telephone and in-person one-on-ones, ethnographies, executive interviews, online qualitative and the facilitation of client strategy sessions.
Catapult founder Carolyn Marconi has worked across a wide range of target audiences including consumers, patients, physicians, B2B decision makers, and executives.

Prior to launching Catapult in 2005, Carolyn spent over 20 years in client-side research roles, including eight years as Principal (V.P.) of Marketing Research for The Vanguard Group, where she oversaw all primary and secondary research, competitive intelligence, data mining and Thought Leadership initiatives. Carolyn’s original research on retirement attitudes and behavior has been published by the Pension Research Council of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier in her career, Carolyn held senior marketing research roles at Campbell Soup Company, Dun & Bradstreet and Nestle (Carnation Foods).

Carolyn holds an MBA from the University of Rhode Island and a BA in Journalism from Temple University. She recently joined the leadership team of the Philadelphia chapter of QRCA. Carolyn is also a Board Member of the Friends Association for the Care and Protection of Children, an organization whose mission is to serve families facing homelessness.

Sarah Jane Johnson will focus on “Beauty”

How to use visuals, images and sharp editing to tell the story at a glance.

With over 15 years’ experience in Research and Strategy, Sarah is an expert in marketing insight and brand communication.

Over the years, Sarah has worked in almost every category and with every customer target; from confectionary to cars, from technology to toys, from packaged goods to pharmaceuticals, from financial services to food, and from women and children to boomers and business decision-makers.

Sarah has an Honours BA from McGill and a BA/MA from Cambridge in English Literature. Having worked in the UK, the US, and Canada, she has a rich understanding of the cultural nuances in all three markets. She is a RIVA-trained moderator with additional skills in Semiotics and Ethnography. Sarah is also an active member of both the MRIA and the QRCA.

QRCA will be having a QRCA-branded session at the upcoming PMRG CONNECT Conference.
