Be your best moderator: The power of leveraging your personal brand.

  • How are you known?
  • Is that how you want to be known?
  • Is there anything you are doing that may be diminishing your brand?
  • How can you better leverage your personal brand to attract your ideal research clients?

This day-long workshop is designed to intimately know and understand the elements that make up your personal brand, (such as your values, strengths, passions, attitude) as well as anything that may be diminishing your brand. Then we’ll explore how to leverage your brand to not just build your moderating business, but build it to attract the best clients for you. The clients that inspire you. This will be a fully interactive, action-oriented day, culminating in your personal pitch, designed to make 2016 your out-of-the-park year.

Our speaker is Katie Bennett, Owner of Double Black Diamond Coaching. Katie is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). Prior to her coaching career, Katie spent 11 years as an advertising executive (full bio below).

About the Speaker

Katie Bennett has been coaching since 1999, and is incredibly passionate about her work and the powerful results it brings to her clients. Katie brings a unique blend of positive energy, inspiration and laser insight to all of her clients. Katie is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, has completed certification with The Coaches Training Institute and has an honours degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario. Katie has been writing articles for the Globe and Mail newspaper for the past several years, in the Mentor Minute article series. Katie’s corporate coaching clients range from large to small clients, from senior leaders to entrepreneurs. Some of her corporate clients include RBC Private Banking, Long View Systems, Telus, SMAK Media, and a Forturne 100 Pharmaceutical.

Prior to coaching, Katie spent 11 years as an advertising executive in both Toronto and Vancouver, rising to the senior management position of Group Account Director, overseeing some of the world’s largest brands, including Pepsi, Moosehead Breweries, Quaker Cereals, Duarcell Batteries, BC Hydro and The World Wildlife Fund. Personally, she has been married since 1997, and is proud mother of 2 boys, Jake and Tyler. When she is not with her boys or coaching her clients, you will find her on the ski slopes at Whistler or biking or running on the trails on the north shore, trying to fulfill her passion each day for living a Double Black Diamond life.

4:00 Optional cocktails and/or dinner out

*Resource Sharing: We have heard from members that they would like more time to share resources and learn from each other. In response to that request, we have purposely set aside time during this full day workshop to share moderator/researcher tools that help us be successful. This could include a:

  • New or go-to projective technique
  • Backroom management approach that you have found valuable
  • New format for analyzing data or reporting results
  • Helpful marketing or market research book
  • Website or online tool
  • Sales technique
  • Tips on dealing with cash flow/collections
  • Insight into insurance options
  • Etc.

Please come prepared to share a resource with your colleagues.
