"From the Wilderness Trek to the PowerPoint Deck – It’s All About Exploration" by J. R. Harris and Four-Course Lunch at CoZara
As a life-long wilderness trekker and qualitative researcher, J.R. Harris has backpacked his way throughout some of the most rugged and remote places on earth – mostly alone, and with no outside support. J.R has shared his experiences on TV, in the book They Lived to Tell the Tale: True Stories of Modern Adventure from the Legendary Explorers Club and has now written another book Way Out There due out soon.
His work in the research world is also full of adventure having worked at Kraft General Foods and at PepsiCo, conducting research in such exotic locations as South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Far East prior to establishing JRH Marketing Services more than 40 years ago.
Come hear his stories of the wild and what they may mean for us as qualitative researchers as J. R. does what he does best and EXPLORES the intersection of global exploration and qualitative exploration. His stories are intriguing, hilarious, tragic, unusual, uplifting and informative, told in a down-to-earth storytelling style and with a wry sense of humor. J.R. is an audaciously inquisitive guy, who revels in exploring not just the world, but the edges of his comfort zone.
