Research Industry Relationships Benefit QRCA Members

QRCA’s Industry Relations Committee continues to secure QRCA tracks at research events as well as discounted rates at industry events. These conferences allow our members to showcase their qualitative expertise in QRCA-branded tracks and to save money on their professional development. Check out the opportunities below — these discounts can more than pay for your QRCA membership.

The American Marketing Association has extended a 15 percent discount to QRCA members for the AMA Advanced Research Techniques (ART) Forum. QRCA members can use the discount code QRCA15 when they register to receive the discount. The ART Forum will be held June 25 to 27, 2017, in Seattle, WA. Get more information and register at the discounted rate.

GreenBook’s Insight Innovation eXchange (IIeX) is the most innovative, disruptive and client-driven insights event in the world. IIeX North America 2017, June 12-14 in Atlanta, will showcase the very best from inside and outside of the market research realm with a focus on technology innovation, thought leadership, collaboration, and networking. This includes a QRCA-branded qualitative track featuring Kathy Doyle, Tom Rich and Kristin Schwitzer. QRCA members are eligible for a 30 percent discount which can be applied by entering QRCA30 at checkout.

The inaugural event of the all-new Insights Association is an unprecedented mash-up of peer-reviewed research-on-research, innovation in action and a curated presentation of what’s next to influence and disrupt our industry. Hear how insights leaders are applying more creative thinking, deploying new techniques, and testing emerging technologies in order to uncover more meaningful customer insights. NEXT2017 is being held May 9-10 in New York and QRCA members can use QRCAMEM to register for the member rate of $400 off the non-member price any time between now and May 9. Remember to hit the “apply discount” link to get the special rate.

MemCom Reviews 2016 Progreess, 2017 Plans

Elizabeth Marconi, elizabeth@catapultmarketinggroup.com
Philip Smith, philip@environmetrics.com.au

After having a productive 2016, MemCom 2017 is gearing up to have another interesting and full year. We welcome new co-chairs Elizabeth Marconi and Philip Smith, as well as our US and International Committee members. Having both US and International representation gives a diverse voice to our membership.

Elizabeth and Philip would like to thank Corette and Kendall for all their hard work in 2016, as well as their ongoing commitment to MemCom.

2016 was a rewarding year. We launched the Touchpoint program. It helped new members become more engaged with QRCA by increasing their awareness of our offerings. MemCom would like to thank the chapters and individuals who welcomed and assisted in implementing this program. A big thank-you also to Siri Manning and the team at Ewald for their involvement in this program.

Another key activity for 2016 was the trial membership, where QRCA offered up to a three-month trial for non-members. Our LinkedIn group promoted the trial. One hundred twenty-six qualitative researchers took advantage of the offer. Ten percent of these QRCs have since joined as full members — welcome! Also, some of these trial members paid for and attended the conference.

MemCom would also like to remind members that QRCA has been able to secure discounts to many non-QRCA conferences. These are published in Connections and News Bites, usually around registration time.

MemCom is looking for new members to assist with initiatives for existing and new members. If you would like to join our team, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with Philip philip@environmetrics.com.au or Elizabeth elizabeth@catapultmarketinggroup.com.
