Personal Connections: Mother-of-the-Bride Shares Photos, Details

By Pat Kirmayer

Pat Kirmayer's daughter, Monica, was married on October 24 in Fairfield, CT, to Rob LaMura. As all previous MOBs know, that simple, concise sentence doesn't begin to convey the activity, the emotion, and the logistical adventures that pack the months preceding the event.

Kirmayer-LaMura Wedding

Monica and Rob covered the logistics — and they were rewarded with a beautiful fall day, a ceremony highlighted by gorgeous music and a party that kept everyone on the dance floor until the last sparkler was lit.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Vieques [Puerto Rico]...and Monica's parents thought that a parental honeymoon seemed like a good idea too. They decided against Vieques and headed to Sedona instead.

Kirmayer-LaMura Wedding

Monica, like her mother, loves working in marketing and branding and she applies her skills at United States Tennis Association. Rob is a VP at BGC Partners, part of the Cantor Fitzgerald organization. They live on the upper east side of Manhattan.

Kudos Corner: A Toast to Elaine Gingold

Elaine Gingold has been a member of the Membership Committee for over 20 years, and was Chair at one time. Elaine has decided to step down from the Membership Committee, but will still be active in QRCA as a Chapter Chair in Minnesota.

Elaine has been an involved member of MemCom, working to secure significant discounts for members, ensuring compliance, providing an invaluable historical perspective, being MemCom’s liaison with Ewald Consulting, being a past MemCom leader, and taking an active development and analytical role in the membership survey process. She has also served on several membership-based task forces over the years, and has always been generous with volunteering to assist with MemCom activities and projects. Her input has been a great benefit to MemCom as well as QRCA.

QRCA members should be aware of her significant contribution to the organization.  Thank you for your contributions to MemCom and QRCA, Elaine!
