Proud Supporter of QRCA Logo Usage Policy and Trademark
The following terms constitute a legal agreement. Your use of any QRCA Logo serves as your agreement to use the QRCA logo only when and as described in these QRCA Logo Usage Standards and in strict compliance with QRCA Visual Standards Manual. In the event of a dispute over the use of any logos referenced herein, the judgment of QRCA shall be final.

QRCA revised the logo in 2009 from the original logo that was created in 2002 and trademarked in 2003. To QRCA Members and others alike, it has become an important part of the QRCA brand equity.

QRCA has also created three special logos for use by: QRCA Members, QRCA Chapters, and Companies and individuals that support QRCA by advertising in our publications or Exhibit/Sponsor our conferences and events. When an image like our logo is known around the world, it symbolizes not just our products and services but the excellence of our Members and, to some, the best in Qualitative Research. This is very good for QRCA and its Members, and we want it to continue.

Trademark law is very precise and QRCA has an obligation to protect its logos. If a trademark is not "protected" by its owner in the public domain it can lose its protected status. If this happened, anyone could use the logo without restriction, including in ways that could be detrimental to QRCA and its Members.

In order for QRCA to protect the integrity and impact of our logos, we need to maintain artistic control over what kinds of logo images are used and how they are used. We are trying to make the QRCA logos as available as possible as symbols for QRCA while protecting them as QRCA trademarks. Accordingly, the following is our policy on using the QRCA logos:

 

Proud Supporter of QRCA Logo

In 2005 QRCA developed a special "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo. This "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo was developed at the request of many companies that support QRCA.

Companies that are eligible to use the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo may use it on their stationery, business cards, advertisements, websites, as icons representing a link to the QRCA website and as plaques or posters in their buildings.

Companies that are eligible to use the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo include:

Regular (within two issues) advertisers in QRCA PublicationsAdvertisers in the current QRCA Facilities & Services DirectoryExhibitors and Sponsors of the QRCA-AQR International Conference may use the logo for 3 months before and 9 months after the conferenceExhibitors and Sponsors of the most recent QRCA Annual Conference may use the logo for 3 months before and 9 months after the conferenceSponsors of a QRCA Chapter Meeting within the past twelve monthsCompanies that have never advertised in QRCA listed publications or have never exhibited at or sponsored listed events may not use the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo.

Companies that have not advertised in QRCA listed publications within six months or have not exhibited at or sponsored listed events within the past 6 months must contact QRCA Headquarters (651-290-7491) to determine their eligibility to use the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo.

Companies that previously qualified to use the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo but have not advertised in a QRCA publication or have not exhibited at or sponsored listed events within the past 12 months must immediately cease using the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo. If you are uncertain about your eligibility to use a logo contact QRCA Headquarters (651-290-7491).

The logo may not be altered in any way, with the exception of resizing the logo while maintaining its original proportions within the guidelines outlined in this document.

The logo may be reproduced in color only if the official QRCA color (PMS 301 and PMS 142) is used. If the logo is used electronically it must be in the color presentation as provided by QRCA. Otherwise the logo may be reproduced in black only.

The "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo may be used by any company meeting the qualifications above in the following media:

StationeryBusiness cardsAdvertising - in professional publicationsPowerPoint, Flash, or similar presentationBrochures and other Company promotional materialWebsitesEmail signaturesUse of the "Proud Supporter Of QRCA" Logo in any other media (banners, signs, promotional items, etc.) or in any other manner must be approved in writing by QRCA Headquarters.

The following placement guidelines are recommended:

Positioning of the QRCA logo on the page is at the company's discretion.

QRCA logo size should be smaller than the company's own logo, but no larger than 2" in height on printed materials. When using the logo on a company's website, the logo must be linked to the QRCA website homepage: http://www.qrca.org The above terms constitute a legal Agreement.
