For many of us, 2020 will be remembered in part as the year we pivoted to conducting most, if not all, of our qual studies online. This abrupt transition has pushed us to learn new methods, get more comfortable with technology, and broaden our toolbox.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million. Qualitative research has historically struggled with integrating video clips into findings and reports due to the cumbersome and costly process of taking hours of video and distilling it into the most informative pieces.

Online Focus Group Platforms: A Side-by-Side Comparison

Have you been asked to conduct online focus groups but not sure which of the online platform providers is the best choice for your particular study? Have you defaulted to using the same platform provider each time just to avoid having to learn a new tool? If so, our second presentation is designed to give you a simple and practical overview of the 3 leading platforms, including pros and cons for each (CiviCom, 20|20 and FocusVision InterVu).

Carolyn Marconi and Elizabeth McKinley of Catapult Marketing Group will share what they learned when they had the opportunity to “test drive” all 3 of the major online focus group platforms side-by-side for the same study! Catapult’s insights from this unique “research on research” experience will increase your knowledge base and allow you to speak confidently about online focus group platforms the next time a client asks you “which one should we use?”
