Dear Latino SIG colleagues,

As we had informed before, the first event of this year will be a 4-day bulletin board that will be launched on February 23th.   You will be receiving an invitation from Revelation next week on how to access the board, but you can start marking your calendars.

The purpose of this first event of the year and our first event as new chairs is to get to know each other better and find forms we can collaborate and support others when possible.

Knowing more about everyone’s interests will certainly help us (the chairs) to find speakers and themes that could be relevant for all of us, but mainly, we want to open a space to share our visions and needs; and at the same time build on ideas that could lead to strengthen research practices with the Hispanic market as well as the relevance of doing research with Hispanic population in the US and other countries.

Your daily involvement won’t take more than 30 minutes of your time.  There’s no need to rush to respond in “real time.”  You can do this at your own pace; we encourage you to log-in at least once a day.  If you fall behind, no problem; we will leave the group open through the weekend, so feel free to come back in and complete any activities you missed.  Furthermore, you can log in from any computer with internet access at any time.

We will be sharing a summary of this bulletin board with all of you, and will also share a one pager with all QRCA members.

Warm regards,

Vivianne and Maria
