Tom Rich, Guest Speaker “Building Your Analytical Tool Box”:
Obviously, as members of QRCA, we have an avid appreciation for the unique power of qualitative research, yet sometimes we run into situations where we would like to squeeze more insights out of our projects or be able to present the findings in a more compelling manner. Fear not, help is on the way!
On December 2, we will welcome Tom Rich as our guest speaker. Tom, a QRCA Board Member, is the founder of Thomas HM. Rich and Associates, a firm he started in 1996. He has conducted hundreds of research projects encompassing thousands of focus groups, one-on-one interviews and online studies.
Tom has extensive experience in a broad range of industries, including food and beverage, technology, telecommunications, and health care; his areas of specialty are new product development, brand positioning, concept writing, and creative dialogue techniques.
Tom will share insights to help you amp up your analytical skills and become even more indispensable to clients. It will explore the various steps in the qualitative analysis process and provide participants with literally dozens of tools and techniques to use at each stage of analysis. Attendees will learn how to plan their analysis, how to conduct both unstructured and structured analysis, how to employ models, visual tools and thought experiments. Analytical skills are what separate exceptional researchers from the rest. Stay ahead of the herd!
