|2016 Worldwide Conference on Qualitative Research - Call for Submission Details|
QRCA is delighted to announce the 8th Bi-Annual Worldwide Conference on Qualitative Research. This not-to-be-missed event will be in Vienna, Austria, and will run from Wednesday, 13 April through Friday 15 April 2016. Our venue is the Vienna Marriott Hotel, located in the heart of Vienna.
Leading Beyond: A Symphony of Transformative Thinking and Discovery
This conference will be a symphony of ideas that stimulates all the senses, and takes our attendees beyond. Beyond the obvious, the expected, the comfortable. Deeper into techniques, philosophies, and futures. Stretching the brains of our attendees, to think differently, to have a fresh slant on our world.
We take inspiration from our destination city. Vienna is the home of Strauss, opera and balls, music and waltzing. It is the home of Freud, who showed us the power of the non-conscious psyche. It is the home of Gustave Klimt, who painted sensuously with patterns and gold leaf, transforming what a portrait could be.
Bring us your edgiest material. Go beyond.
The conference committee is now considering the proposals that were submitted by our 2 November deadline.
All sessions are plenary sessions at this conference, with the exception of poster presentations. While we are not being prescriptive about topics, you should be aware of the format options:
The poster format will be changed slightly from prior years. If selected, your poster will be on display throughout the entire conference, to give attendees a chance to absorb the information, seek you out for conversation, and trigger conversation among others. Posters are intended to stand alone, and not serve primarily as a backdrop for a mini-presentation. Time will be made in the program to ensure people have a chance to browse and talk to poster presenters.
As always at QRCA events, you should be aware that presentations of a commercial nature are unwelcome. If the primary purpose of the presentation is to solicit business, that presentation is not suitable for this conference.
The committee may follow-up with additional questions in writing, if needed, but selections will be made by December 18, 2015, to allow adequate time for speakers to prepare engaging presentation decks.
