April 17: Call for Presentation Opens

May 22: Deadline for Submitting Presentation Proposals

July 19: Speakers Notified of Acceptance

July 26: Speaker Acceptance and Agreement Due

August 5: Speakers Paired with Liaisons

August 12: Final Speaker Materials Due (brief bio, outline of session, marketing content piece, etc.)

September 30: Share final, detailed outline with liaison

October 31: Interactive work with speaker/liaison completed, including run-through by phone

November 8: Draft of Presentation Due to Speaker Liaison

December 13: Speaker Registration Deadline

December 20: Final Presentation Due

Registration Information

As a speaker, you receive one complimentary registration to the QRCA Conference. Please use the speaker promo code when you register. If you have not received a promo code for discounted registration, please contact annab@qrca.org before registering. Final registration date is December 13, 2019.

If you have any changes to your presentation or speaker information, please email Anna Buan and your speaker liasion your updates no later than Monday, September 16, 2019.

  • Display should be 16:9
  • Presentation Suggestions:
    • Limit the amount of information on each slide
    • Do not use more than 4 colors in your presentation. Avoid red letters, which are difficult for some people to read. The best readability comes from high contrast of intensity.
    • Please rehearse your presentation prior to the conference. Your speaker liaison is available for any rehearsal and presentation preparation you need.

Presentation and handouts are due December 20, 2019. Please submit your handouts in PDF/PPT/Word format. If you are planning on printing your own handouts, please contact annab@qrca.org for information on how many handouts to print.

When uploading your PowerPoint and handouts, please name your documents in the following format:

Handouts and presentations will be made available to attendees through mobile app/website/email link. Please provide your handouts and presentations by the date provided in order to provide these materials to attendees prior to the conference.

Conference and Session Information

The QRCA Conference attracts approximately 250 attendees from across the nation and world, all working in different areas of qualitative research. QRCA attendees eagerly embrace practical methods, tools, and lessons from fellow members within qualitative and market research in general.

  • 60 minute breakout session
    • You will have 10 minutes prior to your session to set-up. Within the 60 minute time slot, please remember to leave time for questions at the end of your presentation.

Conference Arrival

  • Check in at the Registration Desk at least 30 minutes before your presentation to let staff know you are present.
  • Room Host’s Role
    • Will assist with set-up, anything speaker needs prior to and during presentation
    • Introduces Speaker and presentation

After the Conference

Evaluation Results

We will share individual speaker evaluation results 1 month after the conference.

Complimentary Professional Video Recording

We will videotape all of the breakout sessions again this year at the 2020 Conference. As a presenter, you will receive a free video of your session after the event.
