Some countries are part of a visa waiver program called ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). This still requires an online application and is usually valid for trips of up to 90 days for a two-year period. These should be completed at least three weeks before travel to avoid any issues, although it can be approved within a few hours—within 72 hours is the norm. Those from the European Union (EU) are eligible. For those not in the EU, there are unique requirements for each country; please check your nation’s websites for advice and the US Embassy website in your country. Generally, the visa you need to enter the US for a business conference is the B-1 visa. Here is the information from US Department of State website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html On top of this, you must be able to demonstrate that every traveler has had at least two COVID vaccinations from a list of approved vaccines.
