Are you a new QRCA member looking to get involved and meet like-minded colleagues? Are you a seasoned member who loves QRCA wants to give back to the organization?
You’ve come to the right place!
QRCA hosts a Volunteer Engagement Week in September to showcase all the different ways you can lend your talent, passion and wisdom the many volunteer-led groups that make up the QRCA.
Join us for Volunteer Engagement Week for Live Zoom Videoconference events and log on to the week-long online bulletin board to learn about how to get involved with QRCA Special Interest Groups, Chapters and Committees.
Schedule for the Week:
Get to Know QRCA
Learn the basics about how QRCA runs, how it’s structured and what kinds of awesome benefits are available to members like you. Have you ever wondered what YP or IR means, what the heck Ewald does or what the difference between NewsBites and Connections is? This meeting is for you!
Committees are standing, ad hoc or task force/advisory groups through which much of the work of the organization takes place – from outreach to members to planning educational events to public relations and more. There are SO many opportunities to get active and contribute to the organization through committee work. See how at this meeting.
Chapters are groups designated by geographic boundaries. QRCA Chapters provide local opportunities for education (professional and business-related), and the facilitation of relationships, resources and camaraderie. PLUS – did you know that you can be a member of more than one chapter? Come see what our global chapter leaders are up to during this meeting.
Special Interest Group (SIG) Day
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) focus attention on a particular special area as a methodology or industry. Offers members an outlet to network with others who have similar interests and share in-depth information and resources. SIGs are one of the best ways to speed up your professional development. Learn more at this meeting.
Volunteer Engagement Week Online Bulletin Board
The Bulletin Board will continue the conversation outside of the Zoom meetings, particularly for those who cannot attend live. A recording of each Zoom meeting will be uploaded each day so you can view them at your convince. The Bulletin Board will also be moderated by QRCA Membership Committee team members so you can ask questions or make comments.
