QRCA invites you to get involved with your colleagues! Each opportunity provides a way to learn, build your business, generate new ideas and connect with like-minded peers.
Every QRCA member belongs to a chapter, based on the location you put into your profile. QRCA chapters typically hold four events annually for members. Local chapter events are an essential way to network throughout the year and to continually learn. Chapter events range from a day of speakers sharing what’s new in the qual world to a happy hour where you can connect and share with colleagues. In addition to participating in your own chapter’s events, you are welcome to attend other chapter events, either in person or online (if video streaming is available). There are nearly 20 QRCA chapters featuring a wide variety of topics. To find upcoming events in your area, or across the world, take a look at the calendar and register!
Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
QRCA members have access to members-only SIGs that focus on specific qualitative research disciplines. SIGs give members an outlet to network with others who have similar interests and an opportunity to share in-depth information and resources. These virtual events provide new insights into specialized areas of qualitative research.
How do I join a SIG?
To join a SIG, sign into the QRCA website and click on the tab “Groups” in the top headers.
On the right hand side, there will be an area to join any group: SIG, Chapters, or Committees. From there you can view all groups that are available to join and a button for each to join.
How do I learn more about each SIG?
You can find more information about each QRCA SIG and the chair contact information here. Any upcoming SIG events can also be found on the calendar on the QRCA main page.
What are committees and where can I find them?
QRCA has a variety of committees that are often seeking new volunteers. Committees have a wide range of interests including: sponsorship, membership, education and marketing. You can find descriptions of each committee as well as contact information for each committee chair here.
How do I join a committee?
To join a committee, you can contact the chair or chairs of the committee. You can also fill out the committee interest area in your profile, and QRCA will ensure you are connected to the committee chairs:
Once you are logged into the QRCA website, there is a field within the my profile area that is titled “Committee Interest”
From there you can choose any committees you are interested in joining and QRCA will ensure that the committee chair(s) reach out to you.
Board of Directors
Who are the Board of Directors?
The Board of Directors is the governing body for QRCA and exists to serve you and the membership. They are always available for any questions, comments, or concerns. You can find the current list of board members here.
How do I become a board member?
Each year the Nominations Committee recommends candidates to serve on the Board of Directors. Board members may serve two consecutive two-year terms. The nominations process starts every year in the spring. Look for more information in your email or in QRCA newsletters during this time or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
