Overview of November 24 QRCA Monthly Board of Directors Meeting

• Alyssa Aichele will be departing Association Acumen. We thank Alyssa for the great job she did supporting QRCA, and the ProDev Committee in particular. Matt and Melinda will provide support in her areas until a new staff person is onboarded to the QRCA account in early 2026.
• QRCA has hired an external marketing consultant, KWSM, to enhance advise QRCA on digital marketing strategy and to help grow the organization through lead generation. KWSM has experience with member organizations like QRCA. A small team of leaders in the Board and Marketing Committee will work directly with KWSM.

Financials

• The Board discussed assets in the checking account and investments. Operating checking account currently has $95k, which is enough to fund cash flow. Reserves in the brokerage account are at ~$342k.
• With a projected new loss for 2025 (-$39k), the Board will not fund their reserves this year.

2026 Annual Budget

• Board reviewed revisions to the budget since the last meeting, taking a conservative approach.
• There was discussion of how sponsorship will likely be soft next year as SponCom is not hearing back from past sponsors regarding AC sponsorship.
• The budget approval is tabled pending GMOC's weigh in, likely for the December Board meeting.

Strategic Discussion

Board recapped status of QRCA strategic research to-date.

• The discussion board received 133 responses. The IDIs are in process, including:
• 11 members, with their last interview on December 4
• 10 non-members, including 4 interviews completed and 6 invited
• 4 Lapsed members
• ~4 Internationals

After IDIs, Board members will analyze. Each segment will create their own written analysis. The analysis will be provided to KWSM.

Leadership Reports

• Marketing – QRCA logos and graphics are available in the leadership community’s resources tab.
• ProDev – December Qcast upcoming.
• YP – 10 YPG recipients have been notified, with a few more alternates selected.
