Overview of September 29 QRCA Monthly Board of Directors Meeting


Consent Agenda

  • Financials
  • Hotel commissions still outstanding from Philly and Berlin.
  • Checking account has a balance of $93k.
  • Reserves in Fidelity brokerage projected at $314k
  • New Sponsorship Committee co-chair Melanie Oltmann
  • New QualTech SIG chairs Abby Leafe and Z Johnson

Strategic Discussion

  • Nichola and Martha provided a recap of QRCA strategic research to date.
  • Board is planning to use an online bulletin board to conduct research with members and non-members. Board suggests sending links out to MRxPros, US Community spaces, etc.
  • Next steps are to create an activity guide, secure online platforms for OBB and IDIs.
  • Timeline is to keep discussion board open for 2 weeks, ideally starting around October 15.
  • IDIs will begin afterwards with different segments with completion goal at end of December.
  • Board will review findings at the February in-person board meeting.

Leadership Reports

  • Annual Conference – chair and staff visited San Antonio site.
  • Membership – Water Cooler & QuallyTalks going well. New member onboard process is in development.
  • VIEWS – author leads generated at CRC Conference.
  • ProDev - after the Data Privacy course earlier this month, there is attention on QRCA’s role in providing members with recommendations for using AI. The Board noted that a checklist is in development that notes attributes of compliant platforms.
  • Young Pros – mentorship program launched with 23 matches. Kick-off call hosted with participants. Team plans to hold quarterly meetings and a meet-and-greet at the Annual Conference. YPG applications closed at the end of Sept with ~40 applicants.

Discussion/New Business

  • Dean shared a Pro Bono SIG update, noting that it is going well and 40+ Double Dutch Club has been selected as the client. The Board discussed giving them podium time during the Annual Conference.
  • Martha reported back on the QRCA booth at the Insight Association’s CRC conference, noting good traffic to the booth and good communication with other organizations.

Next Board Meeting will be scheduled for October 27.
